The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has one of the best training grounds in the country for aspiring teachers. We draw some of the best applicants nationwide and prepare them to serve at all levels of the pre-K-12 education system to meet the needs of all students — including those who have special needs and students for whom English is not a first language. Although we have a minimum 2.7 GPA requirement for applicants, our graduates significantly surpass that average.
